Tutorial: How to Set Up and Trigger a Webhook in Papo Global

1. Introduction to Triggering Webhooks

  • In this tutorial, we will show how to set up a Webhook that fires automatically when messages are received on the Papo Global platform. This lets you automate replies and specific actions, speeding up customer service.

2. Accessing the Webhook Settings

  • Log in to the Papo Global platform and go to the Settings section.

  • Look for the Webhooks area under Integrations.

  • Click to add a new Webhook and start the setup.

3. Defining the Webhook Trigger

  • Choose which type of message will trigger the Webhook. The options include:

    • All messages: the Webhook fires for any message received.

    • Specific messages: set up filters, such as keywords or other criteria, that trigger the Webhook.

  • Define the conditions that match your service flow.

4. Configuring the Webhook URL

  • Enter the destination URL where the message information will be sent.

  • Configure the parameters to send the required data, such as the message content, sender information and any other details the destination system needs.

5. Testing the Webhook

  • Once it is set up, run a test to make sure the Webhook works:

    • Send a message to the configured channel and check whether the Webhook fires correctly.

    • Verify that the data reaches the destination URL with all the information complete.

6. Monitoring and Adjusting

  • Monitor the Webhook's performance on the Papo Global platform to make sure it works as expected.

  • Adjust the settings as needed to optimize triggering and data delivery.
