To reschedule or cancel a bulk WhatsApp campaign that hasn't been sent yet in Papo's Disparador (https://papo.global/), you must go to the Disparador module, find the campaign with scheduled status, and use the options to edit the schedule or cancel it. These actions are only available before the scheduled start time of the send.

Managing scheduled campaigns is essential to adjust communication strategies, correct contact lists, or avoid sends at inappropriate times. Papo's Disparador centralizes all your WhatsApp campaigns, showing metrics and the current state of each one. From this view, you can manage those that haven't started yet.

Action What it does When to use
Cancel campaign Permanently stops the scheduled campaign. It will no longer be sent. Before the start time, when the send is no longer needed or contains an error.
Reschedule campaign Changes the scheduled date and/or time for the send. The campaign content remains. To postpone the send or adjust it to a new strategic moment.

How scheduled campaign management works

In the Disparador module, WhatsApp campaigns are initially created as drafts. Before they are sent, you can schedule a future time for the send to start. While the scheduled date and time haven't arrived, the campaign remains with scheduled status.

At any time before the start, you can:

  • Cancel the send: the campaign will be archived and no message will be sent.
  • Change the schedule: modify the date, time, or both, as long as the new time is still in the future.

After the send starts, the campaign can no longer be canceled or rescheduled from the Disparador list. Any adjustment at that point depends on actions in the inbox or on the contact list, which requires additional support.

Step by step to reschedule or cancel

1. Go to the scheduled campaigns list

In the Papo panel, navigate to the Disparador module. The main screen shows all WhatsApp campaigns, with columns that include name, creation date, status, and basic metrics (such as send progress, if it has already started).

Use the filters or list sorting to find campaigns with statuses like “Scheduled,” “Programmed,” or similar.

2. Identify the desired campaign

Click the campaign you want to modify. A details screen will appear with the configured parameters: message template (HSM), audience, send speed, and mainly the scheduled date and time.

Confirm that the campaign hasn't started yet. If it is already in progress, the option to change the time or cancel will no longer be available.

3. Cancel or reschedule the campaign

On the details screen, you'll find two clear actions:

  • Cancel campaign: a button or link that permanently stops the schedule. When you confirm, the status will change to “Canceled” and no messages will be sent.
  • Edit schedule: a field or selector that lets you choose a new future date and time. After saving, the schedule is updated and the campaign will wait until the new time.

Remember that any modification will only be effective if the new time is still in the future. Otherwise, the system will ask you to choose a valid time.

Who should use this control

This management is useful for several scenarios:

  • Marketing teams that need to sync campaigns with other actions, such as launches or emails.
  • Salespeople who schedule bulk reminders and realize the list needs last-minute adjustments.
  • Customer service managers who want to pause a send to reassess the message content or segmentation.

Frequently asked questions

Can I cancel a campaign that has already started sending?

Not directly through Disparador. Once the send starts, messages are processed and the only way to interrupt it would be to pause the inbox or intervene in the recipient list, which requires actions outside the campaign tool. It is always best to cancel before the scheduled time.

How do I change the date of a scheduled campaign?

Access the campaign through the Disparador module, find the schedule section (date and time), and select a new future time. Save the change. The system will automatically adjust the start time.

Where can I see all my scheduled campaigns?

In the Disparador module, the main screen lists all campaigns. Use date sorting or filter by status to view only those that haven't started and have some type of scheduling.

What happens if I cancel a campaign?

The campaign is marked as canceled and no message will be sent to the contacts for that action. The campaign records (settings, selected list) remain in the history for reference, but they cannot be reactivated with the same schedule — if you need to resend, you must create a new campaign.

Can I cancel and later reactivate a campaign?

No. After cancellation, the campaign is in a final state and cannot be scheduled again. To reuse the same configuration, you can duplicate it (if this feature is available) or create a new campaign with the same parameters.

How do I know if a campaign was actually canceled?

After confirming the cancellation, the status in the list will change to “Canceled.” In addition, the schedule date will be removed and the metrics history (if any) will not show sends.
