This guide shows you, step by step, how to integrate the official WhatsApp API (Meta's Cloud API) directly with Papo Global, using your Meta data and connecting it to your platform Inbox.
Step 1: Access Papo Global

Open the Papo Global Control Panel.

Go to the "Inboxes" tab.

Click "Add new Inbox".

Choose the "WhatsApp – Cloud API (Meta)" option.
This is the mandatory first step before you touch anything on Meta.
Step 2: Create and set up your Meta account
Now let's prepare everything on Meta (Facebook Business).
1. Go to Facebook Business Manager:

Create an account or use an existing one. You need to:

Verify the phone number you will use.

Create an app.

Register and get your message templates approved.
Step 3: Create an App on Meta

Click "Create app".

Choose the "Business" type.

Give your app a name (e.g.
Papo WhatsApp Bot) and link it to your business account.
Step 4: Set up the WhatsApp Cloud API

In your app, go to:
Add Product > WhatsApp > Set up. -
Follow the steps to activate the API.

Once it is activated, you will see:

Phone number ID
-
WhatsApp Business account ID
-
Access token
-
Save these 3 pieces of information – you will use them in Papo Global.
Step 5: Register your phone number

Open the phone numbers panel:
Manage phone numbers -
Click "Add phone number".

Complete the verification by SMS or phone call.
Step 6: Create Message Templates
You need approved templates to send business-initiated messages.
Go to:
Create message templates

Click "Create template".

Give it a name, choose the language and the type (e.g. transactional template).

After submitting, wait for approval.
Step 7: Get the API data
Here are the direct links where you will find the data to enter in Papo Global:

Step 8: Enter the data in Papo Global
Go back to Papo Global and:

Fill in the fields with the data you collected:

Inbox name

Phone number (in international format, e.g. +5511999999999)

Number ID

Business account ID
-
API token
-

Click "Save".
Done! Your WhatsApp account is now connected to Papo Global through Meta's Official API.
